The National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP) is the premier organization that assists people of color and women achieve inclusion in the financial services industry. NASP:
  • Connects members to industry leaders and business opportunities; 
  • Advocates for policies that create equal representation and inclusion;
  • Provides educational opportunities; and 
  • Works to build awareness about the value of ensuring that people of color and women are included in all aspects of the financial services industry.

NASP was founded in Chicago in 1985 by Maynard H. Jackson, Felicia Flowers-Smith, Joyce M. Johnson & Donald Davidson. The organization has grown to become a resource for diverse professionals within the financial services industry. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., NASP currently has 11 local chapters throughout the United States and boasts a membership of over 500.

NASP Leadership


Ronald C. Parker joined NASP as President and CEO in November 2019. For more than six years, Parker served as President & CEO of The Executive Leadership Council where he led the organization through unprecedented growth in the areas of membership, brand relevance, program development, and organizational & financial stability. He has been an active member of the organization since 1995, serving on both the Executive Leadership Council and the Executive Leadership Foundation Boards of Directors for several years. Parker held numerous senior executive and C-Suite roles at PepsiCo, Inc. during his 30-year tenure with the organization. In 2010, he retired from PepsiCo, Inc. as SVP, Human Resources/Labor Relations & Global Diversity & Inclusion.
