Invitation from the Chairman

Dear Colleagues:

Mark Willis
Mark W. Willis
Chair, NASP Board of Directors

On behalf of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP), I am pleased to invite you to our 20th Annual Pension and Financial Services Conference – UNPRECEDENTED CHANGES, GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES AND THE POLITICS OF INVESTING: Managing and Protecting Assets in Uncertain Times – June 10-12, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia.

For more than two decades NASP has been the premier non-profit organization advocating for women and people of color in the financial services industry. With the markets facing more volatility and uncertainty than we have seen in our professional lives, NASP is more important than ever. Twenty years ago, NASP recognized the need for a conference that offered a protected and nurturing educational and networking environment for trustees and vendors. Since its inception the annual Pension and Financial Services Conference has evolved into one of the most respected, unique and influential events of its kind and features an impressive group of investment professionals, including corporate treasurers, key public trustees, asset allocation experts and world-recognized economists.

The 2008 conference in Philadelphia was a resounding success due in large part to the generous financial support from our corporate partners and conference sponsors as well as the participation of some of the most sought after industry experts.

Planning for this year’s event in Atlanta is well underway and we are committed to presenting another high-quality event worthy of your involvement. In keeping with the conference theme, the workshops and general sessions will place a priority on fiduciary education, critical problem solving and the exploration of global opportunities.

NASP is continually looking for ways to add more value to our conference. One way is by improving the ratio of trustees and plan sponsors to investment professionals. This year, NASP will significantly increase the participation of trustees and plan sponsors and strictly limit the number of individual registrations for investment professionals. Our goal is to create an elite learning environment for trustees and an exclusive networking opportunity for vendors.

Your participation is essential to the success of this important conference but space will be limited. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

Corporate partners and conference sponsors who make an early commitment will receive priority registration and will have an opportunity to play an important role in shaping the conference program. If your organization would like to become a sponsor, click here or contact our conference planner, Tonya Williams of TBW Consulting Group, by email or phone at 404-348-4097.

We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta in June!

Sincerely,

Mark W. Willis
